太陽の光によって印画紙を焼き焦がし、像を仕上げていく。光によって、印画紙上に像があらわれる。移ろいゆく光の強さや角度、雲の流れや空気の揺らぎ。その一瞬ごとの条件が重なり、そのときにしか現れないかたちが生まれる。

過去の光と、現在の光。
それらが重なり合うことで、作品は時間の層そのものを記録していく。光は、時間や環境、存在の痕跡を内包した現象であることを、制作を通して実感している。

The image is formed by scorching photographic paper with sunlight.
Through light itself, an image appears on the surface of the paper.

The shifting intensity and angle of light,
the movement of clouds, the trembling of the air.
Each moment’s conditions overlap,
giving rise to forms that can appear only at that time.

Light from the past and light of the present.
As these layers converge, the work records time itself.
Through the process of making,
I come to realize that light is a phenomenon that contains
traces of time, environment, and existence.

このシリーズのきっかけは、とある方のひとことでした。

「新しい風を感じられることを、楽しみにしています」

この言葉は、2024年以降の私の制作において、継続して重要な指針となっています。

制作には主にフォトグラムの技法を用いています。インクや絵の具を使用せず、太陽光そのものを用いて像を焼き付け、合成漆や洋金粉といった素材を取り入れています。

太陽は古来より人が求めてきた根源的な光であり、作品の中では「いま、まさに燃焼している光」として刻まれます。一方、フォトグラムやネガによって現れる像は、すでに過ぎ去った「過去の光」の痕跡でもあります。これらが重なり合うことで、作品は時間の層そのものを記録していきます。

洋金粉は絵具としてではなく、輪廻の先にある永遠の「光」を象徴するものとして用いています。この素材もまた、時間とともに変化していくものです。

光に焼かれた痕跡は、鉱石や植物が長い時間をかけて姿を変えていく過程にも似ています。すべてが唯一の表情を帯び、二度と同じ姿に戻ることはありません。

光によって生命の「痕跡」を刻み、それを他者と共有すること。
Solaris Lux は、唯一無二の存在が積み重なって織りなす世界の姿を、太陽光を用いて示すシリーズです。

The origin of this series can be traced back to a single remark from someone.

“I’m looking forward to feeling a new breeze.”

Since 2024, these words have continued to serve as an important guiding principle in my practice.

I primarily work with the photogram process.
Without using ink or paint, I expose photographic paper directly to sunlight,
incorporating materials such as synthetic lacquer and brass powder.

The sun has long been regarded as a fundamental light sought by humanity,
and within these works it is inscribed as “light that is burning in the present moment.”
By contrast, images that appear through photograms and negatives are traces of “light from the past.”
As these layers overlap, the works come to record time itself.

Brass powder is not used as pigment,
but as a material that symbolizes an eternal light beyond cycles of rebirth.
This material, too, continues to change over time.

The traces scorched by light resemble the processes
by which minerals and plants transform over long spans of time.
Each work bears a singular expression,
never to return to the same state again.

To inscribe traces of life through light,
and to share them with others—
Solaris Lux is a series that uses sunlight
to reveal the world formed by the accumulation of unique, irreplaceable existences.
